Step 5: Manage the contract
Once the contract is awarded and work is underway, the contract will need to be managed closely.
When they’re contracted, the project manager will remain actively involved throughout the project and can support you with some of the tasks below.
To successfully manage your contract, you need to:
- monitor and document supplier performance and quality of delivery
- manage poor performance promptly
- discuss any significant issues with your property advisor.
Supplier performance reviews
Suppliers and consultants engaged on school property projects may need to have a performance review. You can use our supplier performance review tools to manage this.
On school-led projects, the project manager will do the performance reviews, and your property advisor will provide support.
We may also help schools conduct a performance review of their project manager. When we do this, we involve the project manager in the process and ask for their feedback.
You can find information about performance reviews in the performance management starter pack.
