Emergency response coordinators are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help you respond to property-related damage as the result of a disaster – like a fire, flood, or extreme weather event.
We recommend school boards:
- use our contracted emergency response coordinators (ERCs) when needed
- keep this contact list at hand for use in an emergency.
The ERC service is only provided for state schools, as we own state school sites. However, private and state-integrated schools can also contact ERCs directly, but any work they do will need to be contracted between the 2 parties.
What emergency response coordinators do
ERCs work alongside schools and NZSPA to coordinate a response effort with emergency services. They’ll inspect any damage, and arrange for work to be done to make the site safe and get the school back up and running as quickly as possible.
